The General Intelligence Company of New York is an artificial intelligence company taking advantage of upcoming AI developments. Our goal is to enable large complex organizations to be managed by a single person running vast swarms of independent AI agents. We intend to do this by building a large scale agent orchestration system and combining it with existing low level business systems.
Practical AI agents have been emerging in many fields at an astonishing pace. Notably, customer support, sales, and code generation are three fields with reliably working agent systems. The vast majority of these are narrow agent systems which follow a set of steps to accomplish a single goal (like "generate this screen in my codebase"). With the recent improvements in the reliability of language models, and more specifically structured output generation, truly autonomous agent systems are almost a reality.
This reliability improvement changes the playing field on multi-step agent systems. A base model with an 80% success rate reaches just 26% after 6 steps. In recent months, though, OpenAI and others have achieved 95-100% success rates in structured generation. At 99%, that equates to 94% after six steps - an error rate significantly more manageable.
Tasks that were previously not feasible now become possible: Generation of entire codebases, responses to long email chains, computer automation, spreadsheet modeling, and business process automation.
The next step is to enable these agent systems to work together to accomplish complex tasks.
Agents will fundamentally change how business is done. Human labor at the corporate scale will be replaced with agents accomplishing the same tasks instantaneously which cost less and operate with no complaints. At some point in the very near future, the decision in a manager's head will shift from requesting more headcount to spinning up a new agent to solve a problem. The General Intelligence Company will enable this shift and become the agents operating system for the business of the future.
As AI systems continue to improve, general intelligence is on the horizon. But even general intelligence will need tools to operate, control systems, and an interface with the real world. The General Intelligence Company intends to be that interface, enabling a generally intelligent system to run a company.
